King Davis: My Journey in Graphic Design

My name is Olanrewaju Obaloluwa David (popularly known as King Davis), and I would like to share with you how I began my journey in graphic design.

I started by attending computer training at Laurella Info Tech. Before the lessons began, we were introduced to Canva, which was recommended as one of the best applications for graphic design. Out of curiosity, I tried using it at home, and my very first design was created there.

During the training, I was taught how to use Canva effectively—how to adjust, undo and redo, minimize and maximize, insert pictures, add headings, subheadings, body text, change backgrounds, apply effects and animations, and many more features. I practiced consistently, though I was not perfect at the beginning. However, my trainers encouraged me not to give up. With persistence and by the grace of God, I eventually became the best student in my class.

Over time, I also learned about other design applications such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and others. Still, Canva remains my favorite because of its simplicity and versatility.

Graphic design has since become a passion for me, and I am still learning and improving every day. If you would like to learn graphic design, you can reach out to me on Facebook at: Olanrewaju Obaloluwa.
